Where data meets personal color
ColorPraxis researches how personal color analysis is delivered, understood, and used, then turns those findings into practical tools for consumers and color professionals. The site is under construction. Sign up below and we will let you know when it opens.
Get launch updatesA fragmented field, studied as a whole
Personal color analysis is spread across proprietary systems, competing terminology, different delivery models, and individual analysis histories that rarely connect. Two credible analysts can reach different conclusions about the same person, and the people receiving guidance are often left to reconcile the differences on their own.
ColorPraxis is an applied research and product company for the personal color ecosystem. It studies patterns across systems, methods, analysis histories, communication, and implementation, then translates the findings into practical tools, clearer decisions, and professional intelligence. It does not sell one method as the universal answer, and it is not another analysis practice. Its role is to make the wider field more understandable, comparable, and usable.
Evidence made usable for personal color decisions.
That promise shapes everything in development: research should lead to understandable outputs, tools should support a real decision or workflow, evidence status should be visible, and complexity should be translated rather than hidden.
Two audiences, one research engine
ColorPraxis is being built for the people who receive personal color guidance and the professionals who deliver it. Both draw on the same underlying research.
Make sense of your personal color guidance
If you have had more than one analysis, received conflicting results, or struggled to turn a palette into everyday decisions, you are the person we are building for.
- Compare what you have been told and see where results agree, where they differ, and why differences may occur.
- Understand findings at the attribute level instead of collecting another season label.
- Keep a persistent record of your analysis history and observations over time.
- Turn color guidance into practical purchasing and wardrobe decisions.
Serve clients better without abandoning your methodology
ColorPraxis works across systems rather than promoting one. For analysts, consultants, and related professionals, that means intelligence and tools that respect your training.
- Understand how different clients process, trust, and implement guidance.
- Adapt communication and consultation support to each client's decision style.
- Access cross-system terminology and methodology intelligence.
- Use practical, reusable tools instead of building every resource yourself.
How we work
We distinguish observations, directional patterns, and supported findings, and we say plainly what we know and what remains uncertain.
Research earns its place by improving a decision, a workflow, an explanation, or an outcome.
We study and serve multiple systems without paid rankings and without promoting one methodology as the answer.
Outcomes depend on how people understand, trust, and apply guidance, not only on the classification they receive.
About the founder
ColorPraxis was founded by Virginia Schobel, who serves as Founder and Research Lead. She directs the company's research agenda, product strategy, and methodology synthesis.
The company grew out of a simple observation: personal color information is fragmented across systems, analysts, terminology, and individual experiences, and no one is studying what happens across those boundaries. Why do results differ? What helps people trust and use their guidance? What do analysts actually need? ColorPraxis exists to research those questions and turn the findings into tools people can use.
